Torque and wrenches | School lesson?
After my last video, a TON of people questioned the use of the head stem ring nut tool. People thought that using a torque wrench on an extension increased the torque applied to the nut. This CAN happen, but the way I held the torque wrench does not cause increased torque.
Some people linked me videos of how this happens, but none of them explain where the additional torque comes from and how to avoid it.
Hopefully this video explains it as I show a sketch, a spacegass model and a physical test to prove my point.
NO comments were taken negatively. I understand all of the concerns. Hopefully I have belayed those concerns and maybe even taught a few people something.
Or maybe not. Im sure someone will tell me I did it wrong 😉
Cheers
